Reducing Human Errors

STAT-A-MATRIX offers a range of consulting and training services for organizations that want to find out more about how human error might affect their activities, including what options exist to address it.

Error Risk Reduction or ERR, is a strategic and methodological approach to enhancing the reliability of human activities of organizations. It is founded on the systematic identification and removal or reduction of risk influencing factors (RIFs) which trigger or amplify natural human vulnerabilities.

ERR can be applied to most kinds of organizations, small or large. Changes needed to achieve opportunities for reliability improvement tend not to be capital-intensive and seldom take long to implement. Once the principles are understood, ERR is generally popular with those most closely affected because it removes sources of frustration, as well as gaining corporate benefits of cost and service improvement.

ERR concepts and methodologies are distinct from, and complementary to, continuous improvement disciplines such Six-Sigma and Lean. ERR proactively removes causes of errors, even those that have yet to occur.
